FoxPlot Advertising

Advertising Policy

FoxPlot supports carefully reviewed advertising, sponsored placements, and affiliate opportunities while protecting readers and younger audiences.

Draft advertising policy: all ad, affiliate, sponsorship, and campaign rules should be reviewed before monetized launch.

Where ads may appear

FoxPlot ads should be limited to approved Listen and Watch experiences. Ads should not be placed inside the digital book reading experience.

  • Ads may be eligible for Listen audio placements.
  • Ads may be eligible for Watch video placements.
  • Ads should not interrupt or appear inside the reading experience.
  • Sponsored recommendations and affiliate cards should be labeled clearly.

Author control

Authors should be able to review approved ad opportunities and choose whether to start or end placements on eligible content.

  • Approved ads should appear under Ads to Claim.
  • Authors should see the incentive amount or compensation model.
  • Authors should control whether an ad is active on their content.
  • Authors should be able to end a placement when needed.

Ad review

Advertiser submissions should be reviewed for accuracy, safety, rating, disclosures, destination URLs, affiliate language, and policy compliance.

  • Misleading, unsafe, adult-only, or youth-inappropriate campaigns may be rejected or restricted.
  • Sponsored and affiliate content should be labeled.
  • Flashing lights, sensitive topics, mature themes, or restricted products may require additional review.
  • Campaigns should not run unless approved and funded.

Billing and campaign controls

Production ad billing should use secure providers, funded balances, campaign budgets, spend limits, invoices, refunds, and webhook-backed status updates.

  • Campaigns should stop when budgets are exhausted.
  • Billing disputes should be tracked.
  • Refunds should be recorded.
  • Campaign analytics should be tied to reliable tracking IDs.

Restricted advertising

FoxPlot should restrict ads that create legal, safety, youth-protection, or app-store risk.

  • Ads for illegal goods or services.
  • Deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading ads.
  • Unsafe mature content aimed at youth.
  • Unlabeled affiliate or sponsored promotions.
  • Content that violates FoxPlot safety or content policies.
