Content should be assigned an audience rating before publication so FoxPlot can determine which audiences may access it.

FoxPlot Safety
Content Policy
FoxPlot uses audience ratings, safety flags, age gates, moderation status, visibility controls, and reports to help protect readers and younger audiences.
This policy is a working draft. Final content policy should be reviewed for global compliance, app-store rules, user-generated content obligations, and youth-safety requirements.
Safety flags
Content may need safety flags to describe sensitive themes, mature material, or content that requires warnings or restrictions.
- Violence, horror, strong language, sexual content, nudity, substance use, self-harm, hate or extremism, illegal activity, gambling, weapons, medical themes, religious themes, political themes, sensitive topics, flashing lights, AI-generated content, sponsored material, and advertisements.
Age gates and youth safety
Age gates should protect younger audiences from mature, adult, or sensitive material. Production enforcement should happen on the server and through database queries, not only through client-side hiding.
- Adult-only content should require age verification.
- Mature content should be hidden from children and younger teen profiles when needed.
- Under-review, rejected, suspended, or hidden content should not be publicly available.
- Youth-facing experiences should avoid exposing restricted titles, covers, previews, descriptions, audio, video, or ads.
Moderation review
FoxPlot may review content before publication and may require changes when ratings, disclosures, rights, safety tags, or placement rules are incomplete.
- Submissions may be approved, rejected, suspended, escalated, or returned for changes.
- AI-assisted content may require disclosure.
- Copyright or ownership concerns may require escalation.
- Content reports may trigger review, restrictions, or removal.
Prohibited and restricted content
FoxPlot should restrict or prohibit material that creates legal, safety, child-protection, abuse, exploitation, hate, harassment, fraud, or app-store compliance risk.
- Illegal content or instructions for illegal activity.
- Sexual exploitation or content involving minors.
- Hate, extremist, targeted harassment, or abusive content.
- Self-harm encouragement or dangerous instructions.
- Misleading, deceptive, infringing, or fraudulent content.
